Some Business Suggestions

We absolutely love this industry and cannot imagine doing anything else. This industry was founded years ago on the basic fundamental values of respect, opportunity, and creating a secondary source of income to raise the ceiling that exists in most business lives in the world. It is available to all people, with no restrictions based upon age, education, race, gender, religion, or nationality. It is truly one of the last vestiges of hope and opportunity for every man or women in the world.

With that being said, We have noticed the following mistakes that people continue to make as they begin their business:

1) Our “warm market” will only really become warm as we begin to show success. What do I mean by this? Most people begin to create their organization by inviting family and friends to join their business. They might have 7, 8, maybe 10 names in their organization in their first week or two. These are generally people who would accept your invitation regardless of whether they believed what you said. They would just love and trust you enough to want to help you. The mistake is they most likely do not want to build a business. They may actually just be potential customers. In your zeal to have a down-line, however, you fill spaces with these people. You look through your organization and see no activity, and you are now convinced that “this doesn’t work”. Again, your warm market will become warm when you actually begin to succeed.

Solution: This is a business. As you begin to consider those individuals who you want to partner with as your business builders, you may want to ask this question, “Who would I want as my Board of Directors, or my Senior Vice Presidents of “Me Inc.”? Who do I respect in business? Who are self-motivated, passionate individuals who I would trust with MY business? These are the people with whom I would lay the foundation of my business. My family and friends, on the other hand, will make very good product users and advocates.

2) “Am I in Business, or am I in Hobby”?
Have I created a back door to my success? Am I preparing for failure, before I even get started? If I am in business, I create a plan of action featuring the following:

3) Don’t let a little discouragement, frustration, or lack of success steal your dream. If the vision you have created (Your “WHY”) is strong enough, you cannot allow minor setbacks to distract you from your goal. This is also the key to maintaining consistent daily activity.

4) Perform positive activities during the time that you have committed to building your ForeverGreen business. You have already committed to working a certain number of hours per week to building your business. This is based upon your expectations, your time commitments, etc. The key now is filling the time that you have set aside for this business to actually build the business. The activities should be set and reviewed with the help of your mentor. This is the person who you can hold yourself accountable to. Don’t be afraid to push yourself.

Again, these may be repeats fro some of you, but I did feel strongly about listing them this week. I invite you all this week to analyze where you stand in these 4 areas. Are you spending a large amount of time trying to convince people to do something that they really don’t want to do? Do you want success for them, more than they really want it for themselves? Have you been allowing too many outside events determine your success, or have you taken responsibility for your own success?

This could be a very valuable and life changing week for you. It is merely a choice, after all.

Remember, "Successful people are wiling to do those things that unsuccessful people are unwilling to do."
